Mind Yours

Take charge of what happens inside you.

A journey to mental and emotional stewardship

You can't control the people or the circumstances around you. You can steward your own thoughts, emotions, boundaries and daily habits. Mind Yours gives you a working framework for doing exactly that, written by a clinical therapist who serves as chaplain and life coach to NBA and NFL players.

More information than ever. More overwhelmed than ever.

Anxiety is rising, relationships are strained, and a lot of people feel emotionally flooded even though help is a search away. Most of what's out there teaches you to manage symptoms. Very little of it hands you a practical way to take ownership of your mental and emotional well-being.

That's the gap this book fills. Instead of asking you to control everyone and everything around you, it teaches you to look after what belongs within you: your thoughts, your emotions, your needs, your habits and patterns, your temperament, your mindset, and the daily systems you run on.

Mental health is not about controlling your circumstances. It is about responsibly stewarding your inner world.

What the framework draws on

The book combines principles from these fields, and brings in faith-based wisdom where it fits.

  • Cognitive psychology
  • Attachment theory
  • Emotional regulation
  • Temperament theory
  • Behavioral science
  • Systems thinking

"Mind yours" is not a brush‑off.

It's permission. The phrase calls you to take responsibility for what is yours, and at the same time releases you from managing what was never yours to carry. Here is what you'll learn to steward.

Your thoughts

Notice the patterns that run on their own and decide which ones get to stay.

Your emotions

Regulate what you feel instead of being run by it, or numbing it.

Your identity

Know your temperament and needs well enough to stop borrowing someone else's script.

Your boundaries

Sort what belongs to you from what belongs to other people, and act on the difference.

Your daily habits

Build the systems that hold you up on the days your willpower doesn't.
